Virginia T. Southard

Virginia T. Southard, 84, formerly of Richwood, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Morning View Care Center in Marion.
She was a homemaker and member of the Richwood First United Methodist Church.
She was born Feb. 9, 1916, in Marion County to the late Bernard and Bessie Berry Tilton and was predeceased by a great-great-grandson. She married Kelson George Southard Nov. 6, 1931, and he died Sept. 20, 1994.
She is survived by a son, Robert E. Southard of Marysville; four daughters, Shirley Ann (Tom) Ketzler of Antwerp, Rebecca Sue Monroe Kavanagh of Richwood and Kay (John) Coder and Cindy Hoover of Marion; 11 grand-children, Mike Grooms, Lori Tigi, Jim Grooms, Rhonda Carter, Roxanne Smith, Kelly Monroe, Shelly Copley, Lacy Monroe, Stacy Coder, Chris Coder and Rusty Hoover; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Joseph Rhea will officiate and burial will be at the York Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Pall bearers will be her grandsons.
