Rodney L. Lumpkins

Rodney L. Lumpkins, 41, of Marion, formerly of Richwood, died unexpectedly
Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Celebration Hospital in Kissimmee, Fla.
He was a 1977 graduate of North Union High School and had worked for
Richwood Flowers and Gifts and Marion Concrete. He was a member of Central
United Methodist church in Richwood and was an avid fan of North Union
Wildcat sports and a fan of the Cincinnati reds and Bengals.
He was born Dec. 26, 1958, in Marion and was predeceased by his father,
Orval Lumpkins and his stepfather, John Murray Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Doris Albert Lumpkins Murray of Marion; a
brother, Jeff Lumpkins of Ottawa Lake, Mich.; six stepbrothers, John (Mary)
Murray Jr. of Westerville, Frank Murray of Arlington, Texas, Mark Murray of
Hilliard, Bob (Margie) Herr and Dale (Sharol) Herr of Marion and Mike Herr;
three stepsisters, Susan Austin of Toledo, Joyce Leslein of Reynoldsburg
and Val (Mike) Bates of Pataskala.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Central United
Methodist Church of Richwood. The Rev. Winnie Bateson will officiate and
burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8
p.m. Tuesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood.
