Lillian C. Russell


Lillian C. Russell, 72, of Richwood died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at her home after a two-month illness.
She had been a self-employed beautician in Marion for many years and had worked at the former Quaker Oats plant in Marion. She retired at age 68 from the Smith Clinic in Marion.
She was born Jan. 20, 1928, in Williamson, W.Va, to the late George W. and Lilly Hammock Sellards and was predeceased by a daughter, Phyliss Ann Russell; three brother, Bill, Jack and Harold Sellards; and a sister, Pauline Blackburn. She married Franklin O. Russell Jan. 25, 1947, in Ashland, Ky, and he died Aug. 20, 1999.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond D. (Linda) Russell of Richwood and Phillip E. (Peggy) Russell of Marion; three grandchildren, Bryan, Chad and Eric Russell; a brother, Walter C. Sellards of Tulsa, Okla, and a sister-in-law, Mabel Russell or Marion; and a special niece, Gynette (Bob) Thompson of Williamson, W.Va.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Sedzoil will officiate and burial will be at the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
