Clarabelle J. Salyer


Clarabelle J. Salyer, 85, of Richwood died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at Marion General Hospital.
She was a nurse's aid and had worked at Community Med Center Hospital in Marion and Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton. She was a member of the Richwood First Baptist Church, Richwood American Legion Auxiliary and Richwood Civic Center.
She was born April 24, 1914, in Ridgeway to the late Elmer and Nellie Conklin Shark and was predeceased by two sons, Leroy and Don Salyer; three brothers; and two sisters. She married Virgil Salyer July 5, 1930, in Chillicothe and he died Nov. 2, 1995.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen (Dan) Converse of Richwood; seven grandchildren, Jason and Dane Converse, Renee Salyer, Keith Salyer, Valar-ie Ramsey, Natalie Coleman and Tony Pyers; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence (Diane) Shark of Kenton and Carson (Betty) Shark of Forest; and a sister, Hazel Carro of Middleburg, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Pall bearers will be Jason and Dane Converse, Keith Salyer, Scott Ramsey. Phil Coleman and Tony Pyers.
