Dean Holbrook


Dean Holbrook, 55, of Mount Sterling, Ky., formerly of the Richwood area, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, in Chile while on a job with his employer, the Minserco Co., a subsidiary of Bucyrus Intl., formerly Marion Power Shovel.
He was an Army veteran and a member of Marion Lodge 70 F&AM.
He was born in Wyandot County to the late William Eldon and Hazel Chloe Smith Holbrook and was predeceased by a brother, Roger Dale Holbrook.
He is survived by his wife, Janis Martin Holbrook whom he married Aug. 21, 1964, in Asheville, N.C.; a son, Kelly Dean Holbrook of LaRue; and two sisters, Sharon Delane (Milton) Hoskins of Kissimmee, Fla.; and Pamela Sue Cosier of Groveport.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Fred Buckner will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by Richwood VFW Post 870 and American Legion Baccarat Post 40. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m.
