George O. Harmon


HARPSTER — George O. Harmon, age 83, of 5098 Cannon Drive, Harpster, died Monday, Sept. 13,1999, at 6 p.m. at Marion General Hospital.
He was born Aug. 23, 1916, in Logan County, Ohio, to the late Winfield and Jennie (Price) Harmon.
On Jan. 28, 1941, he married Bernice Johnson and she survives.
Also surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Doris (Jewell) Warrick of Florida and Mrs. Betty (Dale) Schultz of Arizona. Two sisters, Ruth Everingham and Pauline Staehlin are deceased.
Mr. Harmon was a retired farmer having farmed for 35 years. He served as Dudley Township trustee in Hardin County for 12 years. His hobby was making and flying radio controlled airplanes. He was a member of the Forest R.C. Model Club and U.S. Army Veteran during World War II.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, Ohio. Minister will be the Rev. Sandra Spahr. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
