Chancey Herbert Craig

LARUE — Chancey Herbert Craig, age 85, of 236 Marsh St., LaRue, Ohio, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at 2 a.m. at Community Healthcare Center in Marion, Ohio.
He was born Jan. 6, 1914, in Mason County, W.Va., to the late Ira Clarkson and Myrtle (McCall) Craig. On Aug. 22,1931, he married Vicia A. Walker, and she died Sept. 18,1986.
He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Craig of LaRue; five grandchildren, Rhonda Johnson, Wanda Von Haase and David Johnson, all of Mansfield, Jean-nette Rader of Lucas, and Laura Craig of LaRue; two great-grandchildren, Jolene Johnson of Mansfield and Melody Clark of Lucas; one brother, Robert Craig, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
A son, Herbert S. Craig; a daughter, Darlinia Johnson; two brothers, Ace Craig and Charles Craig; and one sister, Wavie Wood, are deceased.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 30, 1999, at 10:30 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Tim Pasma. Burial will be in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
