Robert LaRue Bauer


LARUE — Robert LaRue Bauer, age 94, of 647 N. Section St., LaRue, Ohio, died Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at 2:30 a.m. at Marion General Hospital.
He was born Aug. 18, 1904, in Montgomery Township, Marion County, to the late Croft and Mary C. (LaRue) Bauer.
His first wife, Lucy Irene Brady, died April 16, 1941. In 1951, he married Elizabeth Gillon, and she survives.
He is retired from the railroad, member of the New Bloomington United Methodist Church, the Moose Lodge in Marion and a former member of the Meeker Senior citizens.
He is survived by six sons, Frank E. (Helen) Bauer of LaRue, Richard R. (Mary Jane) Bauer of Lithopolis, Dennis L. (Connie) Bauer of Wooster, John L. (Carol) Bauer of Huntington, Ind, Buddy Wayne (Christine) Bauer of Tampa, Fla, Kenneth S. (Carolyn) Mackie of I^iiisville, Ky.; three daughters, Mrs. Roberta Isabel (John) Ransome of Marion, Mrs. Rachel (Charles) Barnes of Melbourne, Fla, and Mrs. Dorothy (Paul) Fields of LaRue. Stepchildren are Richard (Linda) Gillon of Virginia, Jim (Judy) Gillon of Norton, Mass, Pat (Marshall) Grant of McGill, Nev, and Teresa Miller of Tampa, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; 15 stepgrandchil-dren; several great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
A stepdaughter, Phyllis Check; a brother, Ronald Bauer; and a sister, Marjorie Bauer, are deceased.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23,1999, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, Ohio. Minister will be the Rev. Dr. Keith Weller.
Burial is in the Agosta Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
