J. Bernice Moore

J. Bernice Moore, 96, of Claibourne died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at the Arbors in Delaware.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Claibourne Advent Christian Church. She was a graduate of Richwood High School and Aurora College in Aurora, 111. She had worked in Marion, Dayton and Columbus, retiring from the United States Warehouse Facilities in Columbus in 1967.
After retirement, she liked to work in her garden and with her flowers at her home and was the Claibourne correspondent for the Richwood Gazette and Marysville Journal-Tribune.
She was born Aug. 3, 1902, in Claibourne to the late George W. and Belle A. Hitt Moore and was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by 16 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and -nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Dan Grose will officiate and burial will be at the Maskill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Claibourne Advent Christian Church.
