Charles C. Shoup

Charles C. Shoup, 59, of Maywood, 111., died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood.
He attended school in Richwood and was a former member of Central United Methodist Church. He trained horses at the Dwight Banks Stables in Maywood for the past 18 years and was a member of the Illinois Harness Horsemen Association and the United States Trotting Association.
He was born April 5, 1939, in Richwood to the late Chester O. and Lau-rentine Phelps Shoup and was predeceased by a brother, Samuel O. Shoup.
He is survived by a brother, Paul (Betty Jo) Shoup of Upper Sandusky; and three sisters, Anita (Jim) Koffman of Zellwood, Fla., Sarah (Russ) Cline of Lancaster and Linda Shoup of Richwood.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Richwood Matinee Club.
