Lauren Wesley Holland


UPPER SANDUSKY — Lauren Wesley Holland, age 82, of 850 Marseilles Ave., Upper Sandusky, Ohio (formerly of LaRue), died Thursday, Aug. 27,1998, at 10 a.m. at Fairhaven Community.
He was born Oct. 26,1915, in Hardin County to the late Willard and Elizabeth (Reefer) Holland. On Sept. 27, 1937, he married Sarah Jane Barrett, and she survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Darlene) Miller of Laguna Hills, Calif., Mrs. Theodore (Verna Su) Zerwin of West Minster, Colo., Mrs. Paul (Myrna Lu) Valiquette of Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Dennis (Barbara) Montgomery of Pickerington, Ohio, and Mrs. Thomas (Laureen) Jordan of Bloomington, Ind.; one brother, Willard R. Holland of Fort Myers, Fla.; one sister, Opal Jones of Greenville, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
A daughter, Mary Frances Holland, and one brother, John Anthony Holland, are deceased.
Mr. Holland was a retired farmer, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, attended Ohio State University, served on the LaRue School Board, board of directors of Kenton Farmers Market, 4H adviser, and longtime member of Wolf Creek Grange.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday Aug. 31, 1998, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaRue with Father Joseph Losh officiating. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, where there will be prayer services at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
