Bernard C. Casto


Bernard C. Casto, 76, of Richwood died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1998 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
He was a retired farmer and businessman and an avid golfer and was of the Protestant faith. He was an Army veteran of World War II,
He was bom April 25, 1922, in Akron to the late Bernard and Faye Weaver Casto and was predeceased by a brother, Robert Casto.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Farrington Casto whom he married June 8, 1942, in Indianapolis; a son, Greg (Linda) Casto of Marysville; a daughter, Jane (Walter) Swavel of Upper Sandusky; eight grandchildren, Carman, Natalie and Kathleen Casto and Jeff, Matt, Luke, Sarah and Mark Swavel; a great-grandson, Kent Swavel; and a brother, Bill Casto of Belpre.
The Rev. Renee Ahern will officiate at graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood.        
Memorial contributions may be made to the York-McKendree United Methodist Church or the Michael Schwartzmiller Medical Fund, Fifth Third Bank, 120 W. Fifth St., Marysville.
