Earl E. Bays

Earl E. Bays, 68, of Richwood died Tuesday, August 18,1998, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was retired from the railroad and was a veteran of the Merchant Marines. He was a Pentecostal preacher.
He was bom Nov. 24, 1929, in Smithbranch, Ky., to the late Charles and Pearl Braney Bays. He married Nellie Eleanor Dunkin Feb. 18, 1960, in Illinois and she died Dec. 22, 1997.
He is survived by three sons, Steven (Patricia) Bays and Tracy Bays of Richwood and Keith (Georgia) Bays of Lloyd, Ky.; a daughter, Jacklyn (Joseph) Mills of Grayson, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Bays of Lloyd, Lloyd (Frances) Bays of Smithbranch and Tom (Jessica) Bays of Toledo; and a sister, Dorothy Hamilton of York Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Carrol Mathys will officiate and burial will be at the Byhalia Cemetery where military services will be conducted by Rich-wood VFW Post 870 and Baccarat American Legion Post 40. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday.
