Martha S. Bottman


Martha S. Bottman, 75, of Columbus died Saturday, Aug. 15,1998, at Marion Manor Nursing Center.
She was a medical secretary at Grant Hospital of more than 20 years. She had been active in horse racing at Scioto Downs and enjoyed bowling.
She was born Marqh 31, 1923, in Marysville to the late Charles and Minnie Engart Steele and was predeceased by three brothers, Clifford, Robert and Jack Steele; a sister, Mary Harriott; and her husband, Robert Bottman.
She is survived by a son, Gerald A. (Betty) Weaver of Piqua; two granddaughters, Gwen (Wally) Janeczek of Prospect, Gretchen (Gary) Van Buskirk of LaRue; two grandsons, Jeff Weaver of Dallas and Jon (Beth) Weaver of Kaiserslautern, Germany; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, John (Jeanne) Steele of Columbus, Harlon (Frances) Steele of Broadway and George (Sue) Steele of Warren, Mich.; a sister, Minerva (Paul) Schertzer of Claibourne; two sisters-in-law, Martha Steele of Richwood and Beatrice Steele of Marion; and a special friend, William R. Montanari of Columbus.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prospect. The Rev. Stephen S. Bull and Intern William Schwo-chow will officiate and burial will be at the Dublin Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Rich-wood.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Arthritis Foundation in care of the funeral home.
