Dorothy E. Snare


UPPER SANDUSKY — Dorothy E. Snare, age 87, of Fairhaven Nursing Home in Upper Sandusky, died Thursday August 13, 1998, at 8:54 a.m. at Marion General Hospital.
She was born Jan. 27, 1911, in Logan County, Ohio, to the late Walter and Alta (Shemer) Albert. On March 6, 1929, she married Willis Snare and he died July 12,1975.
She is survived by three sons, Paul A. (Ruth) Snare, Earl C. (June) Snare and Charles E. (Pat) Snare, all of Marion; three daughters, Eloise M. Snare of Upper Sandusky, Marjorie (James) Young of LaRue, and Marilyn E. (Danny) Clayton of Calhoun, Ga.; one brother, Lloyd Albert of Bluffton; three sisters, Helen Strahm of Upper Sandusky, Edna Sponsler and Mary Baum, both of Kenton; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-greatgrandchildren.
A great grandson Jack Calvin and a brother Clarence Albert are deceased.
She worked as a clerk at Jo-Ann Fabrics, member of the LaRue United Methodist Church, LaRue and Meeker Senior Citizens, Big Island Community Club, LaRue Homemakers and Euchre Club.
Funeral services will be held Sunday August 16, 1998, at 2 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be Rev. Joanne A. Powers. Burial is in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
