Charles Harden Perkins


Charles Harden Perkins, 92, of Richwood died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1998, at his home.
He was a graduate of New Dover High School and lived most of his life in the Richwood area. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Richwood.
He was bom Nov. 19, 1905, in Dover Township to the late Charles Luther and Harriet Hush Perkins and was predeceased by a brother and six sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie Hickok Perkins whom he married July 21, 1928; three sons, Marvin (Georgene) Perkins of Rockville, Md., and Duane Perkins and Gale (Marilyn) Perkins of Richwood; a daughter, Ann Perkins of Hagerstown, Md.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Richwood. Alan Perkins, grandson of the deceased, will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood.
Pall bearers will be grandsons Brian/David, Gary and Kevin Perkins and Philip and Earnst Wolfle.
