Catherine Wilda Wright



LARUE — Catherine Wilda Wright, age 92, formerly of 925 LaRue  Green  Camp  Road, LaRue, died Thursday, July 9, 1998, at 4:15 a.m. at Maplewood Nursing Home in Marion.   She was born June 6,1906, in Marion County, to the late Ira and Mortie (Moore) Carter. On April 16, 1927, she married G. Bernard Wright and he died Feb. 26, 1982.
Mrs. Wright was a retired school teacher, taught many years for the Pleasant Local Schools, in all she taught for more than 25 years. She was a member of the Marion County Retired Teachers Association, State of Ohio Retired Teachers Association, National Retired Teachers Association, and the OEA, member of the LaRue United Methodist Church, taught Sunday school, United Methodist Women, Mary Martha Circle and was a religious education teacher of the Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. She earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education at Ohio
Northern University. She was a member of the LaRue Homemakers Club and the LaRue Pythian Sisters.
Sue is survived by two daughters, Betty (Robert) Rizor of LaRue, Margie D. Gamble of Richwood; two brothers, Harry Carter of Troy and Robert Carter of Marion; one sister, Ethel Carter of LaRue; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the LaRue United Methodist Church. Minister will be the Rev. Joanne A. Powers.
Burial is in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday.
Those who wish may make contributions to the LaRue United Methodist Church.
Active pallbearers will be Vern, Mark and Michael Gamble, Bryan Decker and Herbert Beeney. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Heller, Eston Williams, Paul Sager and Neil McCullough.
