Eva Doloris Virden

LARUE — Eva Doloris Virden, age 83, of 647 N. Section St., LaRue, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at 8:46 a.m. at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
She was born Oct. 11, 1914,  in Athens County, Glouster, Ohio, to the late Roe A. and Bessie (Crane) Phelps.
On Oct. 25, 1936, she married Donald T. Virden, and he survives.
Also surviving is one son, Rodger E. (Linda) Virden of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one daughter, Norma (Walter) Green of LaRue; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Lafe Phelps and Clifton Phelps, and one sister, Wanda Phelps, are deceased.
Mrs. Virden was a homemak-er, member of the LaRue United Methodist Church for 60 years, taught Sunday school in the primary department for 20 years, Mary Martha Circle, LaRue Senior Citizens, and was a 1932 graduate of Harding High School.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, Ohio. Minister will be the Rev. Joanne A. Powers. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
