Isabelle Mae Somerlot Rubeck


Isabelle Mae Somerlot Rubeck, 81, of Richwood died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998, at Community Nursing Center in Marion.
She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Rich-wood, Richwood Civic Center and its Kitchen Band, Prospect Senior Citizens and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 870 in Richwood.
She was born Sept. 27, 1916, in Marion to the late Adam B. and Minnie W. Ford Somerlot and was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris (Russel) Perkins, Susan (Graydon) Mohr and Gladys (Ira) Gwynn and a brother, William Somerlot. She married Bernard L. "Barney" Rubeck March 9, 1943, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in LaRue and he died Dec. 28, 1987.
She is survived by a daughter, Rita Lou (Roy C. "Bill") Headington of Richwood; a sister, Laura (Harold) Kuba of Richwood; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Richwood. The Rev. Barb Stevens will officiate and burial will be at the Byhalia Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home.
Pall bearers will be Alan Perkins, Bill Cheney, Fred Somerlot, John Gwynn, Aaron Mohr, Ron Rubeck and Roger Ferguson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richwood Civic Center
