Mildred M. Kirk
Mildred M. Kirk, 98, of Richwood died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, at Marion Manor Nursing Home.
She was a farm wife and a long and faithful member of the Richwood Church of Christ and a member of the church's Ladies Aid Society. She was a former member of the Jackson and Claibourne granges and Farm Bureau Council 14 and a member of OES Mount Carmel Lodge 42 of Richwood, Prospect Senior Citizens, Richwood Civic Center and the Modern Woodmen of America.
She was born June 19, 1899, in Delaware County to the late Nelson and Cora Jane (Fryman) Fryman and was predeceased by three brothers and a sister. She married Frank W. Kirk Oct. 7, 1919, in Thompson Township and he died July 10, 1986.
She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Jane (Stanley) Beery and Kathryn (Theodore) Miller of Richwood and Roberta (Wayne) Seiter of Prospect; 14 grandchildren; Kirk (Crystal) Miller of Arlington, Va., Jeff (Roxane) Miller of Birmingham, Mich., Beckie (Dean) Davis, Barbara (Dan) Foos, Pam (Ben) Bumgarner and Patty (Kyle) Stofcheck of Richwood, Sharon (Joe) Yantis of Portage, Mich., Peggy (Bob) Smith of Bucyrus, Larry (Sue) Ridge of Flushing, Mich., Brad (Kathy) Ridge of Marion, Jacquelyn (Clay) Snyder of Delaware, Penne (John) Rouse and Robert Seiter of Prospect and Paula (Gary) Price of Slatyfork, W.Va.; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Richwood Church of Christ. The Rev. Scot Gorsuch will officiate and burial will be at the Shoup Cemetery in Thompson Township, Delaware County. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood.
Pall bearers will be the deceased's grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Memorial contributions mav be made to the church memorial fund.
