Dorothy M. Hamilton


Dorothy M. Hamilton, 84, of Richwood died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, at Morning View Care Center in Marion.
She was a homemaker and worked at the IGA store in Richwood for more than 10 years. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, the board of elections and past member and former treasurer of Kings Daughters.
She was born Jan. 20, 1913, in Martel to the late George Ellis and Mae Belle Irwin Kennedy and was preceded in death in August 1973 by her husband, E. Verne Hamilton, whom she married in September 1931, and a brother and a sister.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Louie) Erwin and Roberta (Roger) Evans of Richwood; two sons, Jack E. (Ava) Hamilton of Radnor and Jerry W. (Jackie) Hamilton of Marion; 11 grandchildren; and 19 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Donna Minarik will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
