Alta Mae Lane

Alta Mae Lane, 78, of Richwood died Friday, Aug. 8, 1997, at Memorial Hospital of Union County. She was a homemaker.
She was born Dec. 22, 1918, in Union County to the late A.M. and Grace Potts Erwin. She married Ralph E. Lane Dec. 30, 1936, in Greenup, Ky., and he died Oct. 19, 1995. She was also predeceased by a brother and a sister, two grandsons and one granddaughter.
She is survived by a son, Richard (Wilda)'Lane of Marysville; three daughters, Betty J. (Norman) Gregory of LaRue, Shirley Kirkpatrick of Irwin and Ruby (Charles) Daniels of Columbus; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; twos sisters; and a good friend, Clara Jane Britton.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Price Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Ahern will officiate. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood.
