John William Ullmer


NEW BLOOMINGTON — John William Ullmer, 82, 5880 Groundhog Pike, died July 24 at Americare Nursing Center.
Born Oct. 25,1914, in Espyville, Pa., he was the son of the late John Henry and Lulu (Oberdier) Ullmer.
OhTJuly: 5, 1937, he married Elizabeth Anna Bosart and she survives.
He retired from Sycon Corp. as a sheet metal worker and also farmed. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3615 and Moose Lodge 452, both at Indian Lake, and a former member of Marion County Farm Bureau.
He is also survived by a son, John E. (Ruth) Ullmer, New Bloomington; two .daughters, Mrs. William" (Nancy) Gracely, New Bloomington, Sue A. McCarty, Daytona Beach, Fla.; and 10 grand-children and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Fern Reece and Esther Leffler.
The funeral is 3 p.m. Sunday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Ned Adams officiating. Burial is in Green Camp Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
