Celia M. Cudd

Celia M. Cudd, 83, of Richwood died Thursday, June 19,1997, at Marion General Hospital.
She was a graduate of Richwood High School and attended nurses training in Marion. She had worked at Livingston's Department Store and the Nibert Insurance Agency in Richwood and was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Richwood, the Plus Ultra Class and Mount Carmel Lodge #42 O.E.S.
She was born June 23,1913, in Geneva, Ohio, to the late Oral M. and Lena McMahan Bixler. She married Carl C. Cudd Oct. 2,1935, and he died July 27, 1987. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janet I. Cross; a brother, Alfred J. Bixler; and a sister, Jemima Wilson.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan (Richard) Austin of Marion and Carla (Kevin) Buchanan Of Aurora, Colo. eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter, and a brother, Paul (Rose) McCrary of Richwood.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Donna Minarik will offficiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home where an Eastern Star service will be held at 5 p.m.
