Mary Barnett

COLUMBUS — Mary Barnett, 90, 4800 Tamarack Blvd. and formerly of LaRue, died May 26, 1997 at Grant-Riverside Hospital.
Born Feb. 12, 1907, she was the daughter of the late John and Stella (Bragunier) Swisher.
She married Floyd Barnett on Feb. 20, 1928, and he preceded her in death Nov. 22, 1986.
Mrs. Barnett was a homemaker and member of Green Camp Baptist Church, LaRue Senior Citizens and Tymochtee Grange, in which she was junior matron from 1958-1986, and she was a junior deputy of Marion County Grange. She also volunteered at Maplewood Nursing Home.
She is survived by a son, Donald R. Barnett, Lewis Center; a brother, Paul Swisher, Santa Anna, Calif.; a sister Mrs. Ruth Schmidt, Marion; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Friday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Danny VanScoy officiating. Burial is in Marion Cemetery.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the Tymochtee Grange will conduct Grange Memorial services at 7:30 p.m.
