Bernice Elizabeth Retterer

LARUE — Bernice Elizabeth Retterer, 85, 364 Front St., died May 23, 1997 at East Lawn Manor, Marion.
Born April 8, 1912, in Peru, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Harry V. and Roxie (Stoner) Casper
On Jan. 23, 1933, she married Sterling R. Retterer and he preceded her in death March 6,1989.
Mrs. Retterer was a retired nurse and a member of Cornmunity United Calvary Church, Richwood. She was a former member of the Ohio Child Conservation League and WSCS, both of Prospect.
She is survived by two sons, Richard L. Retterer, Columbus, and Philip V. Retterer of LaRue; and two daughters, Mrs. Craig (Carol) Skinner, Richwood, and Mrs. Dave (Louise) Columber of Morral; and a sister, Ruth Krathwohl of Rochester, Ind.; 22 grandchildren and 26 greatgrandchildren; and a niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home. Burial is in the LaRue Cemetery.
Friends may call  7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
