Fred Holverstott


NEW BLOOMINGTON — Fred Holverstott, 90, 585 Agosta Northern Road, died May 17, 1997 at Maplewood Nursing Center, Marion.
Born Jan. 25, 1907, in Villisca, Iowa, he was the son of the late Marcellus and Laura         Belle (Sutton)
   Holverstott.
   1936, he raar-   ried Hester L.
Rusler. She died  Oct. 9, 1989.  A U.S. Army
veteran of World War II, he served in both the Pacific and European theaters. He was a retired field supervisor for Marion Power Shovel Co.
He was a trustee of Montgomery Township for 12 years, member of New Bloomington United Methodist Church and Thomas Germain Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3313.
He is survived by James E. Coffman, Prospect; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Keith Weller officiating. Burial is in Marion Cemetery, Marion. Graveside military ties will be conducted by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
