Lena Mae Steen


NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — Lena Mae Steen, 89, of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of the LaRue area, died Friday February 21, 1997 at the Columbia New Port Richey Hospital.
Born Feb. 22, 1908, in Gallipolis, she was the daughter of the Emmett and Martha James (Davis) King.
She married Dec. 5, 1925, Leray Weston and he preceded her in death Feb. 5, 1939. She then married Harry Hall of Morral and he preceded her in death. In September 1954, she married Tom Steen in Morral and he survives.
Mrs. Steen was a farm wife, and a member of the Presbyterian church, Marseillies Lodge of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was Past Worthy Matron. Mrs. Steen was also a member of the Marion County Farmers Union, LaRue Senior Citizens, the Salt Rock Joy Makers Club, Griffin Hobby Club in New Port Richey and a member of the St. Mark's Presbyterian Church Choir in Florida.
She is survived by two sons, Ray W. Weston, and James E. Weston, both of Morral; and a daughter, Mrs. David (Barbara Jane) Fogle, of LaRue; and 13 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandsons; and a brother, James Cook, of LaRue. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, and a brother, Clarence King.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue with the Rev. J. Weston Jones officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call after 1 p.m.Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
