Arvilla Mae "Peggy" Rogers


Arvilla Mae "Peggy" Rogers, 74, of Richwood died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, at her residence.
She was a retired nurse technician and had worked at Memorial Hospital of Union County for 26 years. She was the former owner of the Horseshoe Grill in Richwood and a member of Community United Calvary Church. An avid horse person, she was a member of the Richwood Matinee Club, United States Trotting Association and O.H.H:A.
She was bom Jan. 18, 1922, in Marion County to the late Henry and Blanche Soule Carr. She married Clyde Rogers Sept. 4, 1938, in Greenup, Ky., and he died Dec. 4,1990. She was also predeceased by two brothers and a sister.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Pitchford of Richwood; a stepson, Harry E. Rogers of Russells Point; four grandchildren, Debbie Farrington, Barb Underwood, Don Pfister and Roger Pitchford; five great-grandchildren, Stacy Pfister, Ryan Pfister, Spencer Pitchford, Alex Pitchford and Austin Mannasmith; three step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Community United Calvary Church. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the residence at 11800 Landon Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.
