Mildred B. Clements

Mildred B. Clements, 88, 1406 Dry Lane Road, LaRue, died Saturday November 10, 1997 at the home of her niece, Sandy Columber, where she was being cared for during an illness.
Born April 1, 1908, in Big Island Township, Marion County, she was the daughter of the late Michael Jacob and Mary (Harris) Leffler.
On Dec. 18, 1938, she married Don Clements and he died June 7, 1958.
She was employed at the Marion County Auditor's office 10 years and then as a receptionist at Dr. Dietrich's office for another 10 years. She was a member of LaRue United Methodist Church and Mary Lenox Chapter 98 OES.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Robert (Kathryn) Harruff, LaRue, and several grand nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Revs. Tim Pasma and James Mason officiating. Burial is in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the LaRue Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be Bob Bartholomew, Don Wentzel, Michael Wentzel, Eddie Schweinfurth, Jim Benson and Davis Harruff. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Schweinfurth and Elwood Hinton.
