Betty Lou Allen

Betty Lou Allen, 69, 7108 Sager Road, LaRue, died Friday November 2, 1996 at her home.
Bom Nov. 11, 1926, in Marion, she was the daughter of Frank and Fern (Uncapher) Clay. Her mother survives near LaRue.
On Dec. 5, 1948, she married John Allen and he survives.
She was employed as a secretary at Fulfillment Corp. then at Ridgway Hatcheries and later at Marion Area Physical Therapy Services. She graduated from LaRue High School and attended Marion Business College. She was a member of the Mount Olive United Methodist Church and the W.S.C.S. at the church, also member of the LaRue Mothers Club, Farm Bureau, LaRue PTO, life member of Elgin Athletic Boosters and sang on WMRN.
She is also survived by three sons, David E., Gary J. and Steven J. Allen, all of Marion; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Linda) Thomas. Delaware, Mrs. Sam (Marilyn) Towns, Bluffton, Ind.; a brother, Paul Clay, LaRue; and 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Glenn Decker officiating. Burial is in Price Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
