Fern D. Boyd

Fern D. Boyd, 80, of Richwood, formerly of Mount Victory, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 1996, at Med Center Hospital in Marion.
She retired from B. F. Goodrich in Green Camp after 25 years as a machine operator. She was a member of the B. F. Goodrich Retirees Club, Kenton Eagles Lodge 2163 Auxiliary and Kenton Moose Lodge 428 Auxiliary.
She was born June 23, 1916, in Glouster to the late John H. and Amanda Johnson Tippie. She married Pearl "Pete" Boyd March 9, 1937, and he died Jan. 17, 1987. She was also predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by children, Jim (Shelly) Boyd of Laguna Beach, Calif., Jerry (June) Boyd of Fort Smith, Ark., Peggy (Gene) Wiley of Richwood and Judy (Charles) Wingfield of Kenton; 11 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Lula Robinson of Toledo.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Fye will officiate and burial will be at the Hale Cemetery in Mount Victory. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or
United Way of Union County.
