David W. Armstrong


David W. Armstrong, 77, of LaRue died Saturday September 21, 1996 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born Feb. 15, 1919, in Lewis County, Ky. to Everett and Rebecca (Hook) Armstrong. He married Myredia Bentley Jan. 24, 1946. She survives.
He retired on Jan. 1, 1981, from the former Pollack Steel and then Armco Steel as a supervisor after 35 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW Post 3333, Kenton, and the Phillipi-Clement American Legion Post, LaRue.
He is survived by three sons, Ronald David Armstrong of Marion, Rodney Armstrong of Larue, and Roger England of Marion; two daughters, Jennifer McCrary of LaRue and Shirley Mitchell of Columbus; two brothers, Jim Armstrong of Upper Sandusky and George Armstrong of Wheelersburg; four sisters, Edna Abbott of Nevada, Shirley Armstrong of Florida, Jean Godair of Florida and Juanita Easter of Nevada; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
The funeral is 10 a.m., Monday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue with Rev. Tim Pasma officiating. Burial is in the LaRue Cemetery with military graveside  services conducted by the LaRue American Legion Post. Friends may call Sunday between 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
