Arlene Marie Sayre


Arlene Marie Sayre, 77, of Richwood died Sunday September 15, 1996 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and had worked for Marion Power Shovel and B.F. Goodrich during World War II. She was a Christian at heart.
She was born Dec. 29,1918, in Marion to the late Mr. and Mrs. Arliss Olin (Stevenson) Smith. She married Charles W. Sayre Feb. 5, 1947, and he died Aug. 2, 1984. She was also predeceased by a brother, Don Smith.
She is survived by four sons, Patrick Alan Sayre of South Dakota, Michael Charles Sayre of Columbus, Scott William Sayre of Marysville and James Dawson of Columbus; four grandchildren, Pam, Mandy, Joshua and Hanna Sayre; a brother, Ray Smith of Edison; and three sisters, Helen Britenstine of Richwood, Jean Deveraux of Mount Gilead and Edna Thillipi of Marion.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. David Hubert will officiate and burial will be at the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
