Frances Ardena Cates

Frances Ardena Cates, 84, formerly of Kiwanis Village, died Saturday, 1996 at Community Nursing Center.
Born Feb. 29, 1912, in Morral, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Clara Maud (Hawk) Buck.
On Oct. 6, 1934, she married Lowell L. Cates and he died Nov. 28, 1972.
A graduate of Morral High School, she was retired from Ogden Food Service and was a Meeker Ridgedale School Bus Driver. She was a member of the Meeker United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women. Mary Lenox Chapter 98 O.E.S.
She is survived by a daughter. Mrs. Lawerence (Kay) Shuster, Delaware; a grandson; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, James H., Alfred and Ransom Buck; a sister, Glendora Ashworth; and four infant brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Meeker Cemetery with Rev. Keith Weller officiating. No calling hours will be observed at the Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, which is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
