Zita E. Griffith


RICHWOOD — Zita E. Griffith, 81, Richwood, died Wednesday May 29, 1996 at Marion General Hospital.
Born July 23, 1914, in Waldo, she was the daughter of William Austin and Florence (Anderson) Bosley.
On July 10, 1939, she married Wilber "Gim" Griffith, and he died May 3, 1992.
She was a homemaker, member of Richwood Church of Christ, active with the American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as secretary/treasurer many years, and Richwood Civic Center.
She is survived by a son, William L. Griffith, Richwood; a brother, John Fees, Los Angeles; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Stofcheck Funeral Home with the Rev. William Osborne officiating. Burial is in Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary or Baccarat American Legion Post 40 in care of the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Sam Chapman, Duane Lewis, Jack Fees, Dennis Roush, Bill Nibert and Bernie McElroy. Honorary pallbearers will be Helen Henderson, Mel Shuman, Helen Collier, Evelyn Albert, Martha Moore, Mabel Reece and Judy Elliott.
