Robert W. Scheiderer


Robert W. Scheiderer, 64, of Magnetic Springs, died unexpectedly Thursday morning (May 9, 1996) at Memorial Hospital, Marysville.
He was born March 2, 1932, in Magnetic Springs, to Paul David Scheiderer and Fred May (Ballard) Scheiderer.
Mr. Scheiderer was a Korean War veteran, serving as an Air Force medic. He worked for Pure Oil Co., was a vice president of Lennox Co., Columbus, worked with Scheiderer Construction Co., founded Magnetic Springs Water Co., and retired in 1994 from the Ohio Department of Transportation District 6 as supervisor of general maintenance.
He was a graduate of Ohio State University and a member of the Moose Lodge in Delaware, Marion Trotters, and VFW Post No. 7201 in Marion. He was very active with the Democratic Party, and was a member of the Union and Marion counties Democratic parties.
Survivors include two sons, Brent R. and Erick W., both of Magnetic Springs; a daughter, Regi-ria A. of Magnetic Springs; three grandchildren, Drew, Travis, and Alex: four brothers, Jerrod, Dennis, and David, all of Magnetic Springs, and Ron of Prospect; and four sisters, Miriam Smith of Magnetic Springs, Anita Kleiber of Marysville, Beverly Van Brimmer of Ostrander, and Janet Scheiderer of Magnetic Springs. One brother, Malcomb, preceded him in death.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Fred Cheney officiating. Burial will be in Claibourne Cemetery, with veteran graveside services conducted by Marion County United Veterans Council, with Larry Rosen as chaplain.
