Russell W. Lowe


RICHWOOD - Russell W. Lowe, 66, Springdale Road, Marysville, died Sunday, July 23, 1995 evening at Riverside Methodist Hospital after a short illness.
Born July 25, 1928, on his parent's farm on Lowe Road, he was the son of Dana D. and Lola J. (Perkins) Lowe.
On Dec. 8, 1951, he married the former Tomia (Silliman) and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, William Russell (Tamara) Lowe, Marysville; a daughter, Vicki (Kim) Compton, Orient; a brother, Donald G. Lowe, (Ruth) Marysville; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Hager, Newport Richey, Fla., and Juanita (Burton) Hecker, Westerville; four grandchildren.
A brother, Richard, is deceased.
Mr. Lowe was a farmer. He drove a school bus for the North Union Schools for 25 years, and was a Leesburg Township trustee for 32 years. He was retired from the Navy Reserve, where he had served 28 years. He was a member of Pharisburg United Methodist Church, where he had served as a trustee. He served on the Richwood Fair Board 18 years; Farm Bureau; former Leesburg Grange; former 4-H advisor. He had served with Leesburg-Magnetic Fire
Department and was an avid fisherman and loved to travel. He also had a state FFA farmer degree and was a graduate of Magnetic Springs High School.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday at the Pharisburg United Methodist Church with the Revs. James Holbrook and Scott Nichols officiating. Burial is in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stofcheck Funeral Home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
