Gaylord S. Welch


RICHWOOD — Gaylord S. Welch, 77, Mount Gilead, formerly of the Richwood area, died early Monday morning June 20, 1995 at Marion General Hospital.
Born Feb. 25,1918, in Ashley, he was the son of the late Clair and Carrie (Smith) Welch.
On Feb. 25, 1945, he married Doris Irene Kimble and she survives A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was retired and a member of T.P. Johnson American Legion Post 329, Mount Gilead.
He is also survived by three sons, Carl Welch, Richwood, David Welch, Delaware, Terry Welch, Marion; a daughter, Mrs. Conley (Maria) Roberts, Marion; a brother, Billy May Welch, Lima; three sisters, Mary Jones, Green Camp, Louise Dawson, and Marie Maxwell both of Florida; 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Buckner officiating. Burial is in Price Cemetery.
