Doris I. James

Doris I. James, 81, 131 Chestnut St., LaRue, died Saturday May 27, 1995 at Mansfield General Hospital.
She was born April 23, 1914, in Hardin County to the late L. Ray and Lena (Scranton) Spracklen.
On February 11, 1933, she married Earl M. James and he died March 6, 1990.
Surviving are four sons, Ronald E., LaRue, Larry R., Cable, William L., Forest, and Keith N., Marion; two brothers, James R. Spracklen of SpringHill, Fla., and Richard E. Spracklen, LaRue; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one step-grandchild. Two grandsons are deceased.
Mrs. James was a retired cook at Elgin West Elementary School. A member of the LaRue United Methodist Church, the Mary Martha Circle at the church, LaRue Senior Citizens and the Ye Pastime Club.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue with the Rev. Joanne A. Powers officiating.
Burial is in LaRue Cemetary. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
