Lodena Mary Murphy

Funeral services for Lodena Mary Murphy, 80, 540 E. Market St., LaRue, will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home with the Rev. Joanne Powers officiating. Burial will in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. She died 6:30 a.m. Sunday, February 5, 1995 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born Jan. 31, 1915, in Big Island Township, the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Coon) Brady. On Dec. 7. 1935, she married Cletus M. Murphy and he died Jan. 29, 1993.
She is a 50-year-member of the LaRue United Methodist Church, the Mary Martha Circle of the church, Tymochtee Grange and has been active in the Grange movement 66 years. She also had been active in several camping clubs.
She is survived by two sons, Earl E. Murphy, Bowling Green Township; Wayne L. Murphy, Fulton and a daughter, the Rev. Rose Ann Wilson, North Robinston; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.
