Ivan Everett


Ivan Everett, 86, 235 Blaine Ave., died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday November 29, 1994 at Marion Manor.
He was born Aug. 16. 1908, in Green Camp Township, a son of the late John George and Dora Mae (Locker) Everett. On Nov. 28,1942, he married Genevieve Corbin and she survives.
A World War II Army veteran who served in Europe with the Army Combat Engineers, Mr. Everett worked as a builder and cabinet maker about 55 years.
He also is survived by a brother, Robert Everett, New Bloomington; and two sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Velda) Sloat, Marion, and Mrs. Wayne (Inez) Goken, LaRue. Two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. John Dean officiating. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Phillippi-Clement American Legion Post 101, LaRue. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
