Royden F. Atheron


RICHWOOD—Royden F. Atheron, 87, Donovan Road, Radnor, died Thursday morning November 24, 1994 at The Arbors, Delaware. He was born May 17,1907, in Magnetic Springs, the son of Bert and Olive May (Brown) Atherton. On Dec. 24,1935, in Marysville, he married the former Mapel Caroline (Geyer) and she survives.
A graduate of the Magnetic Springs High School, he was retired from farming and was a member of Magnetic Springs United Methodist Church.
He is also survived by three sons, Marvin K. Atherton and Larry V. Atherton, both Richwood, and Gene Atherton, Marysville; a daughter, Brenda Hamilton, Harrod; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A brother and a grandson are deceased.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Fye officiating. Burial will be in Shoup Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
