Thomas D. Thomasson


RICHWOOD — Thomas D. Thomasson, 74, formerly of Richwood, died Friday November 11, 1994 in Lake Placid, Fla., where had had been residing the past two years.
Born July 9, 1920, in Smithfield, he was the son of William Watson and Olive (Chambers) Thomasson.
On Aug. 29, 1948, he married the former Mary Louise Weals and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Patricia Ann) McElroy, Irwin; three sisters, Virginia Campbell, Leslie, Mich., Mary Murphy and Jean Lustanauer, both Columbus; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Thomasson was owner of the former Thomasson Hardware store in Richwood. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Richwood First United Methodist Church, American Legion Baccarat Post 40, Richwood, Richwood Golf League, Mount Carmel Masonic Lodge 303; former member of the board of directors Richwood Banking Company, former Richwood Lions Club and a former member of board of directors Ohio Hardware.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert K. Thomasson, a sister, and three brothers.
Memorial services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services. The Rev. Robert Wilson will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Richwood Park in care of-Richwood Banking Company, 28 N. Franklin St., Richwood, 43344. The final resting place forMr. Thomasson's remains will be Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium.
