Lowell (Sonny) Swartz
Lowell (Sonny) Swartz, 74, 376 E. Market St., LaRue, died Thursday evening July 7, 1994 in a motorcycle accident near Ljitas, Texas-.
He was born Jan. 29,1920, in Marion the son of the late Howard and Ida Swartz. On May 25, 1946, he married Janet Lingon and shedied Jan. 27,1994.
He is survived by a son Rick J. Swartz, Springfield, and three granddaughters.
Two sisters preceded him in death.
He owned and operated the Handy Hardware in LaRue, was a veteran of World War IIserving in the Army Air Corps, was a member of the Phillipp-Clement Post 101 American Legion, LaRue, LaRue Lodge #763 F & AM, was a past Master of the Lodge, member of LaRue United Methodist Church and graduate of Harding High School. He was also active in scouting.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Keith Welleroffi-ciating. Burial will be in the LaRue Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 4-7 p.m. Monday.
A Masonic service will take place at 7 p.m. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post of LaRue.
