Ruth Josephine Sayre

Ruth Josephine Sayre, 68,3809 Green Camp-Essex Road, died Wednesday morning June 22, 1994 at her residence.
She was born in Hamden Nov. 27, 1925, the daughter of the late John Gilliam and Donna (Wheeler) Gilliam, who survives in Marion.
Her first husband, Kramer Bowden. whom she married in 1945, died in 1965. She then married Warren L. Sayre in 1967, and he died in 1984.
The homemaker attended LaRue B ap-tist Church, and had been employed for eight years with Abbott & Co., Pros-pecu
Mrs. Sayre is survived by a son, Kramer Bowden, LaRue; five daughters, Mrs. Bobby Dean (Sherry Kay) Thompson, LaRue, Mrs. William (Jackie) Gilbert, Tanja Cardwell, Mrs. Douglas (Tammy) Ray and Mrs. Rick (Sherry) James, all Marion; three brothers, Charles and Kenneth Gilliam, Minford, Harry Gilliam, Jackson; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A son, David Bowden, and a brother are deceased.
The service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Tim Pasma officiating. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
