Geneva A. Cochran


LARUE — Geneva A. Cochran, 92, Mammoth Springs, Ark., formerly of Rubins Road near LaRue, died May 7 1994 at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, Mo.
Born Sept. 3, 1901, in Morrow County, she was the daughter of the late Squire and Rosa Bartholomew (Harris) Mead. On July 25, 1953, she married Louis G. Cochran and he died July 29, 1987.
Mrs. Cochran and her late husband were the former owners of Tri-County Lime Stone, which they operated from 1953-83. She was a member of Marseilles United Methodist Church; Latham Chapter No. 364 Order of the Eastern Star; and Kenton Elks Lodge.
Mrs. Cochran is survived by a son, Harold M. Healea, Washington state; a daughter, Mrs. Jane Thomas, Thayer, Mo.; a brother, Harry A. Mead, Oakland, Calif.; a stepson, Norman L. Cochran, Kenton; and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert (June) Saltzman, Kenton; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home with the Rev. Ruth Stambach officiating. Burial is in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
An Eastern Star Service will be conducted by the Latham Chapter at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
