Eva Mae Rayburn


Eva Mae Rayburn, 85, Winfield, W.Va., mother of area residents, died Thursday morning April 7, 1994 at the home of her daughter, Genevieve Meadows, with whom she made her home.
She was born Aug. 25,1908, in Red House, W.Va., a daughter of Van and Laura (Harmon) Brown. Her husband, Stephen Rayburn, whom she married in 1925, died in 1959. The homemaker was a former member of Community Baptist Church, Mount Gilead, and had attended LaRue Baptist Church.
In addition to the one daughter, Mrs. Raybumis survived by fourotherdaugh-ters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Feucht and Mrs. James (Rosalee) Sharp, Marysville, Mrs. Jim (Ruth Paretin) Gillfillan, New Bloomington, and Mrs. Donald (Patty) Madison, Mount Victory; four sons, Thomas S. Rayburn, Upper Sandusky, Charles D. and Ronald L. Rayburn, LaRue, Frank L. Rayburn, Ashley; a brother, Frank Brown, Charleston,
W.Va.; two sisters, Mabel Linvell, Warren, andVirginiaPersinger, Charleston, W.Va.; 27 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother, a sister and a grandson.
The service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Tim Pasma officiating. Burial will follow in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions may be made to LaRue Baptist Church, or Kanawha, West Virginia, Hospice.
