Robert W. Houk


RICHWOOD — Robert W. Houk, 61, died unexpectedly at Grady Memorial Hospital, Delaware, early Wednesday morningDecember 8, 1993, . He was born Sept. 2,1932 in Marion, the son of Paul W. and Mildred (Dutton) Houk. His mother survives in Richwood.
A Korean Conflict Army veteran, he worked at Whirlpool 27 years, farmed and was a member of the Baccarat American Legion Post 40, Richwood and Am vets Post 89, Columbus. He was a graduate of Richwood High School and was of the Methodist faith.
He is also survived by his companion, Jacqueline Harris, and her daughter, Mrs. Keith (Jill) Townley of Stillwater, Okla., whom he raised; a sister, Janice Price, Richwood; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tield 11 a.m. Saturday at the StofcheckFuneralHome, Richwood, with the Rev. Fred Cheney officiating. Burial will be in Claibourne Cemetery, where graveside veterans services will be conducted by the Richwood American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heinzerling Foundation or the Richwood Emergency Squad Association.
