Dorothy H. Battles

Dorothy H. Battles, 90, formerly of the Richwood area, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1993, at Milcrest Nursing Home in Marysville.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Richwood.
She was born March 20,1903, in Hardin County to the late Hiram Lemuel and Mary Elizabeth Kyhoofer Oates. She married George W. Battles on Nov. 26,1926, and he died Feb. 23,1979. She was predeceased by a grandchild and two sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Pat) Welsh of Richwood and Mrs. Darlene Shortsleeve of Tacoma, Wash.; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Wolfcreek Cemetery. The Rev. Wilbur Boyer will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund at First United Methodist Church in Richwood.
Arrangements are being handled by the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood.
